100% Recycled ringspun cotton/poly jersey reclaimed from 65% cotton waste and 35% plastic bottles creating a 100% recycled cotton/RPET fiber.

Yarn size is 18-1

Fabric weight is 5.7 ounces per square yard.

The fabric process begins by collection of the preconsumer cotton waste from major textiles mills. It is then separated by color and staged to be shredded back into a fiber and then blended with RPET fiber ready for spinning. After the yarn has been ringspun, it is last knit into a jersey fabric.

By using this fabric we help our planet in many different areas. The amount of cotton waste and plastic bottle waste from the landfills will save on methane burnoff. By reclaiming the cotton, we save on approximately .25 pounds of harsh chemicals being sprayed onto the soil per shirt. This is made possible because you are not having to spray pesticides during the farming process and you are not having to dye the cotton. By using RPET, the benefits are phenomenal. According to the EPA, 2/3 less energy is required to Manufacture products made out of RPET. In every shirt we make, there is approximately 3.5 plastic bottles.
